Two Of My Obsessions in One Place

How often is it that you can find two of your absolute favorite things in one place, let alone in one item? In this installment of "Neet Things I Found On The Internet," I bring you just one such piece of lovin' goodness:

Two of my obsessions are The Office and T-shirts. The problem with every other Office t-shirt I have seen are that they look like something you would buy in an NBC gift shop if you visited One Rockefeller Plaza.

This stunning beauty is a little more subtle. The one thing I would like to see, however is a little more distressing. I am sure this is not the last Office t-shirt we will see!

Late To The Party

I never realized that there was a chance I live under a rock until today. I usually pride myself on finding the cool new stuff on the internet...I am a bit of a nerd that way. So today I came across this site that I had never heard of called threadless.com. threadless is a site where regular people like us submit their shirt designs and some of them get made into actual shirts available on the site. Not sure exactly how the process works but I was looking for cool shirts not a contest anyway.

So while there I came across a shirt called Biblical Disaster. A few little insights into my personality:

A. A name like Biblical Disaster will ALWAYS get my attention

B. I Love Brown and Blue together

C. I hate Unicorns!

All of that adds up to one of the chicest shirts I have seen in ages.

Freakin' Cool Site.

I came across Desteenation Shirt Co. a while back but never spent much time on the site other than to check out The Tractor Tavern Shirt....That was until last night. This site is freakin' crazy. Here is their shtick: All of the shirts the have on their sites are from real places. Very cool since there is a place in Seattle I LOVE to go when I am in town...Hales Ales! See I am not just a t-shirt lover I totally dig beer! Having gone to school in Seattle, Desteenation helps me put two of my greatest loves together in one place!

For those of you not familiar with Fremont it is the self-proclaimed "center of the universe." It is in Fremont that two great places exist: Hales Ales Brewery and a 16 foot tall bronze statue of Lenin. The brewery is great for obvious reasons, the statue is cool to me because it is an actual statue from Russia that was torn down following the fall of The USSR. For it's historic value I think it is cool.

Coolest Seattle Shirt Ever

So I came across a new blog called t-shirt fiend. So it is a new blog....with like only a couple of posts but check out this shirt they talk about. I LOVE The Tractor. I can't tell you how many cool shows I have seen there. This is a freakin's sweet shirt.

I do a little diggin' around and find out that the shirts themselves are not only from The Tractor, but from a t-shirt lover's dream...a place in Fremont called Desteenation Shirt Co. This place sells shirts from the coolest places in Seattle. I spent like an hour and a half looking around their site. They have everything from Sonic Boom to Blue C Sushi. I will definately be bringing you some more of their shirts. It is nice to find a website that sells cool shirts that aren't just joke tees.

Busted Tee's

So normally "joke" t-shirts are not my favorite but ones that are done intelligently are very appealing to me. Especially shirts that reference 19th century political figures.

This shirt from Busted tees is just such a shirt. It has everything I look for in a funny shirt. A very pithy play on words. A timeless picture. This is classic.

So I have decided to start a blog about t-shirts. T-shirts? I know it seems crazy. Maybe even a little nerdy, but I have to tell ya, I love t-shirts. I am building a collection.
